Fix Your High Blood Pressure with peace

I mentioned briefly in the last post about this topic that monks were among the people with the lowest blood pressure.

Stress, as most people understand it, is a top 5 killer of people across America. Stress contributes to cancer, high blood pressure, strokes, aneurysms and a host of other systemic conditions and diseases.

Stress is a mental state, your physical body can experience the pain of what your mind perceives. Even if there is no external stimuli. Try it, think about something that makes you extremely happy. Does your body feel lighter? Did you laugh ? did you get a burst of energy? well the same applies for stress. If you consistently think about things as stressful, then you will be stressed

Meditation and deep breathing has been shown to cut stress levels dramatically. Something as simple as slowing down and taking 5 deep breaths every hour can decrease your chances of having cardiovascular illnesses. This is why monks don’t suffer from high blood pressure and other problems. They have removed the Stress factor.

Having good control of your anger is another way to lower your blood pressure, even if you aren’t a monk. Those who had better control over their anger had less problems with hypertension and as a result had to take less blood pressure medication.

Removing stress from your life or, having healthy ways to deal with the stress will help your high blood pressure.
